Some people like to use these brush washers to hold the tips of the brushes in the water while they paint so they don't dry out when switching to another brush. It works fine for better brushes but my size 2 and smaller brushes aren't long enough to do that with. It still holds the brushes just fine, it just can't hold those shorter ones with the brushes in the water. It isn't a big deal to me but it might be to others. Other than that, this was a great deal. I use it frequently and it has held up great in the month that I have been using it.
