'Honey Boo Boo' family injured in car accident: Details...



Several cast members from TLCs hit reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo have been injured in a minor car accident, a network spokesperson confirmed.

Castmates Alana Honey Boo Boo Thompson, Sugar Bear, Mama June, Pumpkin and Jessica were involved in an accident in Georgia. Sources say they were on a shopping trip and Sugar Bear (the father) was driving. He started to turn and a car came through the intersection and hit their vehicle. Its the first time any of the family have been in an car accident, a source added.

The clan was taken to a hospital, but with relatively minor injuries. Everyone is bumped and bruised, were told (so just boo-boos then).

TMZ first reported the news. Season 3 of Honey Boo Boo gets underway Jan. 16. Though the show is currently shooting, the production camera crew was not involved or shooting at the time of the accident.

Update: Statement from June: As many of you have heard we were in a car accident last night. It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck. We are definitely really sore today, but our top priority is to celebrate Pumpkins birthday. She turned 14 today and no matter how sore we feel we are going to go out and celebrate. As always we want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes.
