I have been searching for "safe sand" in order to build my 2 year old grandson an inside sandbox for the winter months (we live in MN) he loves playing in his outdoor sandbox so thought I would build one for the indoors too. My concern including the sand available at Home Depot and Menards is that it clearly states that it contains silica and could possibly contain asbestos products. So, I searched until I found this product, read the reviews and the information off the website of Sandtastik and felt that this would be the perfect product for the sandbox. When the sand arrived, I found that it is indeed extremely nice sand, but incredibly fine grained, like granulated honey. It also produces a dust when it is poured - which is a problem since my grandson likes to shovel the sand into buckets - so I was worried about the dust getting into his lungs.
