We tenderness these pencils. They are vibrantly colored, and are easy to grip even for my 2 year old. He feels like a big kid since he gets to use pencils. The only reason I produce them 4 as a substitution for of 5 stars is with the intention of two of the colored leads are poking out the back of the pencil, and I've had to push them back in and tape them to make the pencil usable again. Good quality pencils and nice looking also, however I estimate I probable a modest extra advantage on the triangle sides to assist in gripping. I purchased these primarily to help with pencil holding for my 4 year old who subdue grabs with a fist around his crayons.
